PC question...
out of my soundcard comes a green cord and a black cord, both 1/8" stereo jacks. the colors dont really matter, but anyways, i unplug the green one, the sound stops, so that's the sound.
i unplug the black one, nothing happens...sooo...wtf is it?

the one that sound comes out of is labeled with a little rod with waves eminating from it, with a -1 next to it, the other one has the same, but with a -2 next to it. if that helps?

What kind of soundcard do you have? Its probably the other line for your surround sound, more than two speakers.
- nuarmy0
If its not connected to your speakers then you shouldn't need it.

it is connected to my speakers.
just an SB LIVE! 32MB or something card

do you have the model number of the card?

im guessing it's just a plug for surround sound...

you better check your drivers and whether or not you have everything installed properly. sound is tricky

i have same card or close and the black one on mine is for digital sound, you can change this in the driver settings for sound blaster cards......i have a single sterio plug going to an amp so i only use single green plug.....the other plugs are for sub and say 2.1.......im not sure if these cards can do 5.1 etc
hope that heaps,
peace, rom
