flash mx and illustrator cs

i'm having a helluva problem bringing in artwork from illustrator cs into flash mx. basically, i've got some vector art i created in illy and no matter what i do: paste, import (as eps, illy); the art gets butchered by flash. it'll add stray fills, leave out necessary points, and create general mayhem with the art. anyone have any suggestions as to what i could do? FREE third-party apps that might make friendlier eps's? please HELP!!

Copy and Paste works perfectly out of FreehandMX. I'm assuming that you may be able to do the same with Illy with a few adjustments.

Did you try exporting it as .swf from illustrator?

yeah, export as swf. works for me.

export out of Illi as .swf.......then import into Flash

ahh...the ol' export as swf worked like a charm...good advice -- don't know why i didn't think of that. i'm a little purturbed that freehand will export perfectly fine documents, but i ain't shelling out more cash for it! thanks guys!
