Anyone know where to look for good professional short/day courses that your graphics company could send you on? In London...??
Thanks :)

go work in a bar, you'll find out how people really are. the ones who you really work for. the ones who you confront your work with the most.
good luck with convincing your boss

yeah, thanks. i've worked in a bar before.
If i could find a decent course I may be able to pursuade my boss to send us on it.
All my mates in jobs unrelated to design frequently go on courses to learn new skills and further their careers. So why can't designers get something more out of their company instead of simply working our bums off?

You need to decide what you want to do.
If you want to advance in a specific 'technical' skill, i.e. using Flash, XHTML, and so on.. then you can easily find a course.
If you want to advance with your 'creativity' or anything artistic, you either need to go on a retreat, take a couple weeks off and give yourself a project, or do some deep soul searching, read some books, and look at lots of posters and things :-)

no problem, plus you get good lunches there too.
