auricom:
I'm assuming you built those, as well as designed them. Are you using a bent form lamination process or something else?
Very nice look, by the way.

very nice, very nice. i hear ya on the creative kick, i'm too damn busy anymore. only thing i've been doing is furniture stuff, needed to get away from the computer and back into to more hands on work.

thanks auricom!
what do you mean by transparency? the silkscreened face? oh zach, those pieces were in a show for the month of April, but it was in lancaster :/i like that mini-site, nice and clean.
- auricom0
cool, so you have famlly there, nice. SelfInduced and I went to FSU. I was born and raised there. I'm actually heading there tomorrow for a few days.
small world.

yeah, i'd like to see photos of the final projects myself.
I do a good bit of woodworking myself, though in a much more traditional style.

auricom, how did you mount the panels to the wood, did you put anything over the panels to protect them?

I'd love to see some examples of your furniture work.
got a link?

na, no 3Dapps used, all photoshop and illustrator. i found a CAD plug in for Illustator CS and it's great.
i started out with a lamination process, then a ghetto little steamer then finally found the coolest shit known to man.....bendy wood. it's plywood with a shit ton of slits. bend it, clamp it, glass it, then veneer away. well there's some sanding in there as well but still.
- auricom0
I'll snag some shots, they aren't complete yet, though. I got one of the top pieces done for the table and need to do the slits for the DVD rack. just so hard to find time working 2 full-time gigs. that and getting ahold of bendy wood. have to order it from a place in cali, the woods cheap but shipping kills ya.
the earlier attempts became scraps, shit's hard to do without the right tools. i love furniture design but man....the price of tools is sick. hell i spent about $200 just in clamps.

sweet work auricom...about my site being transparent, i wish i could take credit for that whole effect, but i believe it's a mac thing, no?
- auricom0
it's about a man...a man from a planet unknown to many. a planet.....i don't know, I just got this creative kick in the ass finally and went with it. The center shapes are apart of a series i've been doing called Formations. there are others on my site. actually the biggest inspiration was the fact my apartment walls are bare. it's about filling space...how's that.

Good stuff Auri. I'll be that looks dope hanging on the wall. Long time no talkie. Hope things are going well for ya.
- Neuarmy0
i like it.
hey zach, hows the new site comin' along? ever pick a new url?
- Duane0
I like it. How big are you going to output it? Is it going to mount on wood?
- canuck0
Looks pretty interesting. I like.
I need to get myself a decent printer. The 1280 is pretty good?
