Any other designers residing in the Chicago area and vicinities? Let's meet at Starbucks!

no, you are the only one there. and Starbucks is closed for renovation.

there's a ton of people on YH that are from chicago. and also, geez, which starbucks? there are 7 within a 6 block radius of depaul alone.
although a cup of coffee feels really needed right now... hmmm

I live in Chicago. threadless has a list of emails we all added through from NT quite a while back. I think it's bookmarked at home.

Caribou has much better coffee...and if you go to the one by the Whole Foods off of Belmont and Lincoln area you can stare at everyone leaving the gym nearby.

I live in Bloomingdale working in Oak Brook. Why don't we hit up a bar one of these weekends instead. Maybe Liars Club. That's always fun. Or whatever. I think there are a few more peeps from CHicago here.

Once my band is playing shows (should be mid-end of July) I will let the Chicago people know here.

i'm in Chicago, but i don't do Starbucks. there's one in the building where my office is, and it always looks like a crackhouse... complete with a line of shakey junkies forming outside.
and, sorry, but Liars Club has been played out for years now. it's for people who aren't from Chicago, much like anything on or around Rush Street.
( not hatin' -- just statin' )

ah no way pylbug. i've been going there for years and it's the best hole in the wall. i can agree though to an extent that at like 1 or 2 in the morning these people start showing up and its like 'wtf are you doing here' and it gets turned into some fuck dance club. then it sucks. the note also is a great dirty ass place. haha.

My old roommate's band played at Liars club a few times, and recently Nicholas Cage was there. Their drummer who is a good friend of mine met him at the bar, and Cage totally gave that one eye up look around the room.
If you want to know the gem of bars in the city, that would be Quenchers at Western & Fullerton. I've been playing solo stuff there for a couple years now.
Largest or 2nd largest beer list in the city.
