Hello All,
What's the best way to improve search rankings of a Flash-based site? I've tried using "gateway pages" that contain non-visible text & Flash redirection, but they haven't seemed to help my ranking (after 6 months)...
Is there a legit way of doing this so the spiders can pick-up the site? How do the high-profile Flash sites pull it off?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

the gateway pages help, also, the occurances of keywords on the site. of course, it is all flash, that doesnt work.
another huge factor is based on relevance. they look at how many sites link to you, and their ranking.
and, the ranking of the sites that you link to.
If you want, you can work with an SEO company. they have link farms that do that stuff for you.
one theory that i have come up with is to put a bunch of system text in your page, then import a style sheet that tells the DIV containing all of that text to display:none;
We hired an SEO company, and they shared all of this.
You get it for free.

Spend an hour reading. I do this stuff alot at work, and was a bit distressed to see that we're a bit past the days of meta tags being the most important aspect of placement.
