There was a funny scene I loved in a Polish commedy from the 90's. The movie was about filmmakers who were shooting a historic WW2 movie. The scene: location in a village, Autumn. The film crew have a break. One of the extras dressed in Wehrmacht uniform (with helmet and all) asks someone else from the crew if they have matches. They hand him a lighter. He lights up a cigarette and hands the lighter back saying: "danke"

also, it used to crack me up when the german press referred to ronald reagan as a former 'bademeister'. classic.
