We're submitting a proposal for a corporate identity job. They (large national company) approached us and wanted us to submit a name, slogan and logo. How much should I quote them?

If it's really a 'large national company' then lots. I notice you're in AU, which might be different to the US or the UK, but the general rule of thumb is that any company of that stature would probably disqualify you from further rounds of the pitch if you came in too low.

yeah get that standards book.....
yes the more money your client makes the more you can charge.....on the grounds that they will use your design for a wide range of applications.
for logo + name, ect... for a large national company....off the top of my head I would guess your are looking at somewhere between $20,000 – $40,000. Thats a guesstimate.
lucky bastardo.....I want rich clients too....
