maybe someone here can help me out, I've never had this problem before.
In Photoshop, when using the save for web option, I am unable to save JPGs, I can select the quality % etc. but when the save window pops up, gif is the only option available even though I chose JPG.super weird.

check what color mode you are working in.

yea, it's weird I'm in RGB. It seems like a bug.

you sure you chose jpeg in the drop down?

yea, in the initial screen where you select your output properties, I selected jpg, but then on the "Save as" window that pops up, the only options to save as are, Images Only (gif) , Html, or, Html and images. It appears Image Ready has taken over photoshop. odd.

Yeah that is weird, cos when I do save for web, once I have my settings, there is no "save as", it just say "ok" on the button. I hit that and select where to save it. At that point there is no choosing of jpeg, gif, etc.

I'm using PhotoshopCS and Windows2000. Is it normal for the "Save for web" window title to read "Save for Web - Powered by Image Ready"?
I've never paid attention before.

I'm going to try rebooting again and let it sit turned off for awhile to think about what it did.
