they've not seen it yet....they want to see it on all four options which I've done.....
- rasko40
nake sure you show them the minimal one and push it, perhaps if you make the text heavy ones look really over heavy on text then they will see your point.. copy can be edited down, likelihood is they wrote their copy themselves and its long winded and unecessary.. are you good with copy, maybe you can edit.
but at the end of the day, they are cunts, so fuck em.
- Bluejam0
cunts with cash, mind.

I know your right rasko4, normally I wouldnt mind but they've had so long to forward it to me. Also I've got another million and one things to do.
I'm just being a whinging twat!!!
- rasko40
yeah it f*cks me off too, I've just done 2 sites for the same client and a brochure to go with one, they didn't supply ANY copy, eventually I got the specs for their product which was a start... they were in a rush for this and now its just been sat there for over 2 weeks waiting for them to check and supply missing stuff... useless.

post a pdf, please?

I'm hearing you save, it's typical, it happens all the time.
The worst experience for me is when clients supply really repetative copy ie] product brochures which describe every product with the same words: contemporary, sophisticated, clean lines...un–imaginative b*stards
and they execpt no deveation from the copy they have supplied, letting the document down because the copy looks like you haven't read it, just dropped it in.rant over!

I'm glad it's not just my agency that suffers from this.

Clients don't seem to realise how long things take....
This is such an under appreciated profession....
*pulls moony to clients!
- rasko40
ha! speak of the devil, they just phoned me and now going "is the site up? why isn't the site up?".. I'm like, well you still have 5 european flags on the splash with no translated sites.. I picked those flags at random, I have made up most of the copy myself including some jargon about your product of which I know nothing about and you haven't even looked across it to check for errors and let me know if ok to go ahead.. to top it off, in all the comps and prototypes there has been a 'distributors' animated button with a page with a scrolling list from a text file... "oh, we dont have any distributors for that brand"... FUCK!

I know how you feel rasko4, sometimes i feel as though I'm doing the clients job as well as my own.....
The badly manged little turds!!
- rasko40
sometimes I think to myself "chill rasko, you may turn into a miserable whinger".. but then I think NO! these cunts are incompetent fools and they drive me fucking mad.. to top it off, likelihood is they get paid more than I do.. FUCKERS!!
I swear, I could give this shit up.
- save0
They either get paid a shit load more than us, or they're young gils that get paid 8k a year......
- rasko40
save, are you with me in thinking that there is only one possible cause of action?
EXTREME VIOLENCE!!!
- save0
Well, Ive had my arse out a few times and violentley parted my cheeks, but that didn't get me anywhere apart from me getting sexual gratification!
- MR_T0
How can you design a site not knowing what the copy is?
- save0
this can come in handy http://www.lipsum.com/
- Rand0
the only people who have to deal with ACTUALITY any more are designers, everybody else just sends emails to get it off their desks
- Rand0
most clients don't even know there is such a thing as ACTUALITY anymore
