does anyone know of a good FREE content management system? right now i'm considering using phpwcms.de but i'd like to know if there are others that someone would suggest.

there's such a glut of them around, it depends on what you have to run it on really. My favourite so far is mambo http://www.mamboserver.com/

i keep hearing about typo3.. never tested it though.

i gave typo 3 a shot, but didn't have much luck when digging into the backend customization...
but that's also just me.

Not free so this isn't going to help you... but it is cheap considering so there you go just incase.
