Great. I have question for anyone who's really used it. How does it stop me from burning playlists more than 5 times? An mp3 is an mp3 is an mp3 is it not?
Surely I can copy the file to as many PC's as I like? How do they enforce all that crap?
Seems shitty to pay for stuff and have limited use of it...

and why are all tunes 79p..?
in the U of S they're 99c...
so in the UK they should be 54p...
but they're not...

Fuck knows. All seems a little strange. I wouldn't buy CD's if they said I could only play it on 1 system and only when there's an 'R' in the month...

i think they're AAC files... not MP3s...

its bollocks really, they should be way cheaper, afterall, theres no packaging, print, cd, and all that jazz.. I dont want to pay the same for just an mp3, I want the whole package, I mean, if you went into a shop and bought an album and they said "would you like the CD or would you like to stick your ipod jack in here?" what would you want?
I want a fucking aiff file.

Soul Seek's free too ;)

they have digital rights management. you can convert them pretty easily but you shouldn't really have to. sucks a bit really, and yeah it's much more expensive than the US. i've been using it since yesterday but there's only about 3 albums on there that i like.
They are seriously lacking in tunes because most of the uk independent labels won't license them because apple want them to keep the price capped at 0.79p for three years.

I'm not bothered as there's fuck all on there that I want to buy anyway. Gimme the rare shit I trawl eBay for and I might consider buying something.
Until then...

YOu can burn as many CD's as you like- just five at a time. You have to create a new playlist to burn more. Why? So Joey Hip Hop and his friend Rocker Jake don't download the latest albums, hook their machine up to a 10 disc duplicator, mass produce the album, and sell them on the corner. Sure they can still do this- but now they have to work for it.
Too much, too much, cry, cry , cry. You are paying less for a good song then it cost for a pack of gum, a bottle of water, or a fried egg sandwich. The song is yours for life. You can jam it at home, in the car, use it for your wedding, or through it on a mix for the hot chick you met at the pub... all for a freakin dollar.
ClubMp3 and places like AllOfMp3 are cheaper- yeah- because they have no contracts- no exclusive deals, and pay no royalties to the artist- itunes pays the piper.
You can use Lossless compression to get a higher quality if you like.

if you loose an aac file bought from itunes, they do not replace it, so if you have a hard drive failure, tough shit, you have to buy the track again. They can digital rights manage the tracks so why cant they digitaly manage reciepts.

and they only sell in 128k AAC format don't they?
