This is a mystery. I upload my site to server, each page is headed by a small flash banner animation inserted with dreamweaver. only 13kb. But when I view site it aint there, and when i view source the code to embed the flash has dissapeared also.
How the hell can a server alter your html code? I've uploaded the 6 htm pages again with the same result? The flash file is on the server ok.
Any ideas?

is there a coding ghost living in your server?
i would pour a bucket of holy water over it.
seriously i don't know. check with the server to see if they allow it.

do you have a link to the page in question?

are you embedding it in plain html page like something.html, or is it being compiled through a language like PHP or cf? If so your code could be wiping out the swf if the syntax is incorrect.
- gabriel_pc0
who is hosting your site? could be a filter on their end taking out any object and embed tags.

This is my code made by dreamweaver:
None of this appears when i view source after uploading.
The server is Lineone...thats uk. the swf file is on my server ok. I have other flash bits uploaded and working ok.

omg you seem to be hosted within the bermuda triangle

and btw, you cant post html here, you have to replace your less than/morethan with [ and ].. or something.

the flash banner should be at the top of the next 6 pages

no problem, the banner shows fine, although the site does appear to have been through some kind of 'ugly' filter haha ;)

actually it is missing on the gallery 2 page but its on the others.

thanx rasko.
why do you think the banner wont show for me, on two other computers in the house. And why it would not show on my neighbours set up either.
And when i view source on each page there is no code at all in the pages for the banner. its still wierd?
- rasko40
maybe you have exported the flash file in a newer version than is available on those machines?
the code doesn't show on the domina name version because your host uses puts your files inside a frameset in order to redirect, if you look on that code you will find the link to your 'actual' site, which is where you will find your code as normal.
dont know whats up with gallery 2 tho, just copy/paste the code from one of the other pages I guess.

as youve hopefully gathered, im an artist not a web designer. But lots of those tattoos are my daughters, she's a tattooist at the shop and they twisted my arm to do the web site.
thanx again Rasko.
i will put that code on gallery 2 tomoz now...shuteye is calling
