that's funny. that's what cruijf always say about the dutch team. that the dutch team always want to play nice and make beautifull goals. have to agree though. compared to that chaos goal by the germans. then again, a goal is a goal.
anyways, we played bad. too many errors, bad passes, no control midfield, gave the germans too much space to build up their play. good that zenden was replaced by overmars, zenden was totally outrun on the left flank and overmars is a rocket which was more usefull on the left. second half was a lot better played by the dutch but what an errors in the defense. incredible errors. unbelievable. happy it's a equal score though. thank god.

The dutch were reduced to playing route one football - but that Van Hoydonk (?Spelling?) looks quite special

We (dutchies) were playing ugly. Only 3-4 shots on goal (van Nistelrooy inc.) Midfield???
Second half looked better, but i think the germans were waiting to counter (their mistake).
I don't think the dutch squad is able to play very good at this moment. Maybe they grow into the tournament.
I hope saturday will be better.
So "Sweden" looks the strongest??

read that article. i disagree though that the root of the rivalry is based on the war. i think the rivalry is just based on neighbouring countries and soccer history since both the german national and the dutch national team have been around quite a long time.

i expected the dutch to destroy us, but turns out they're pretty weak.
i still think our current german team isn't up for it, it will show latest once they'll have to play england or france.
it's just the dutch are even worse at the moment.
ours was supposed to be the group of death, it's now the weakest group of the tournament i think...
