Looking in perspective, it's this kind of games that make fotball insteresting. The outcome is not decided until the final whistle.
On the other hand Switzerland-Croatia was fucking boring. Almost like most of our national league games...

Maybe I'm missing the point, but it all means fuck-all if they don't win. It doesn't matter how well they played - they obviously didn't play well enough!
The "reviews" BeachBoy, just sound off like excuses... It's like blind patriotism... Hmm. I don't think I'm cut out of the right stuff to understand football or it's die-hard fans.

moth... that loss was really harsh. It all came apart at the end. Which is a shame, cos for the first 45minutes we out-played them. And for most of the second half we managed to contain anything they could throw at us.
In football losing doesn't always mean it's cos ur crap. In all honesty, i think a draw wuda been fair.

although an American, I payed close attention to the England National Team over the past 6 to 7 years and I can sense that a loss to either Germany, Argentina or France stings the worst. Every dog has his day and England will make up for it in DE 2006 WC. Wait and see.

I'd agree with kuz there
Normally, neh, nearly always it is the result that counts, but when you are in group stages, you take the positives and build on them for the remainding games
We lost, but we can still win, daft eh!?

that's the system

why do girls like to go out with English footballers?
cause they're on top for 90 minutes and still come 2nd

Why would they want to come second?
