lame. people need to loosen up a little...geez.

I thought Kimmel was funny. But seriously L.A.'s got no room to talk. They've had more race riots and gang violence in the last 25 years than any city.
- sauceruney0
kimmel was right though, which is probably what's so upsetting to detroit residents.

Detroit has won numerous NBA titles(88-90), Stanley Cups etc etc. No fires, no riots, just good vibes and people in the streets.

"The post-game riot was originally made famous by the celebration that followed the Detroit Tigers’ World Series championship in 1984."

yeah but common.. the tigers winning IS a riot worthy event. Lately with the Red Wings constant victories the worst is an out pouring into the streets for some general milling around and trying to get on camera behind the news lady.

All I was pointing out was that Kimmel's comments didn't come from out of nowhere like Mimio's land of puffy marshmallows and gumdrops after a Detroit championship. :)

screw detroit, let it burn.
lighten the fuck up!
- Mimio0
Yes, shant and it's great to see LA has brought it into the 21 century.

kimmels funny as dog nuts. Its the damn local station that started all the ruckus. That and his dwindling ratings. And now its just a PR move. I live in the D and watch kimmel. Its a freakin joke, isnt' that what late nite comedy is supposed to be??? Damn ya'll are right, people here need to loosen up.

I don't think it's really the Detroiters who have their panties in a ruffle as much as it was just some conserative general manager in a suit.
