What is the best book out there for learning After Effects v.6 ?
(for newbies)I heard about Creating Motion Graphics with After Effects: Volume 1: The Essentials but will be released in September 4, 2004...

I would go with Creating Motion Graphics with After Effects: Volume 1: The Essentials - like you said, but get the one out now... it doesn't matter if it's up to date or not, very good book to get started.
