just a job... my co-workers would call it a career though.

I have a half day today MX! only work 3.5 hours, then freelance client meeting and then travel across town to paint more on my mama's house. I wish the freelance web/house painting were my career. especially because it is going to be 90 degrees F here again today.

I treat mine as a job though I have spoken to my boss and told her that I just don't want to see this as a job, and shetold me that because we are making web sites for the biggest companies in this country in the previous months and they are sux big time, we should balance this effort with the job I am doing right now. She told me things get better in the next months and I am sold. I dunno, the work I am doing right now is not creative and hope things get better in the next months.
This is the best web company in here.. so.

I always thought my job was a carear. But after doing it pro for 5 years', it has turned into just a job.
Why. The creative side for me is just 10% which i find rewording. The rest is dealing with crap and making thing happen and and and and it go's on.
But I have too question, what is the difference between the too. Job Carear. Just make sure what you do you are some what happy at.

hope so, I have been so busy I haven't been digging up as much music lately, so hopefully I can continue to have like 12 songs a week.

it teeters back in forth as a job and career, but soon I will have my own biz and be much happier. Waiting for a major grant to come through from the State of PA.

i think we all spend to much time on this site chatting, arguing and looking at good design it dulls the urge to create sometimes.
i'm gonna have my own NT strike next week and do sommit a bit rewarding
{insert wank joke in next response}.

Whatever it is make sure you come first...
If youre happy with your designs the client is bound to be. Be content and know that some people have careers that will look after them for life, however some of those careers include wiping shit up from the arses of old men

above all make sure you have a life - start from there
no pun intended : )

I dont give a fuck about a 'career' at the moment, when a job with some decent creative input is required then I'm keen but otherwise I'm just ticking along... I'm more interested in doing my shit outside of work, get my folio sorted and move on to somewhere i WANT to work at... Though at the moment just the thought of working in a typical london 'agency' environment makes my stomach wretch heheh.. I have actually been offered a job without even asking at quite a well known company but its just really not my cup of tea, and its a bit of a trek, though the £ would be better. Sometimes it seems more tempting tho.
I just want to do my own thing and have loads of time to do what I want. I cant quite seem to make it happen though..

I love what I do but dislike my job with a passion.
The only time I get to express my passion for design is when I get home, and even then I am too nakered to switch on my Mac.
I am looking for a career.....
