this has been a grey area for me for a while....someone schooling me would be much appreciated
what permissions / rights issues are there surrounding the "re" displaying of an article, that ran in NYT or any other newspaper, on a website - assuming that you do not alter its written format much if at all

it's copyright infringement unless you have written approval.
just like you can't tape an nfl game, then re-broadcast.
you could do it but you'd be playing with fire.
if you don't know what happens when you play with fire ask jack be nimble.

if it absolutely is copyright infringement ...
any idea what would be the proper channels for getting approval at say NYT ? What people / positions provide the go ahead ?
