I've gotta get this off my chest. It's going to be 80 today in Seattle and I want nothing to ruin the good mood I SHOULD have right now.
I was recently offered the chance to DJ a drum & bass night at a bar in Vegas. I have a friend who just left the Hard Rock in favor of a residency at a new club called Dais. He's only heard me play once, but he said my mixes were spot on!
So what's the first thing you do when you have exciting news? Tell your friends right!? Or your sigificant other... which is what I did. Of course, she's never supported me in my DJ'ing. My record shopping has dwindled to maybe once a year due to the groaning that i met with (I never spent more than $100 on records). I rarely practice because it takes me "away from her". And I'm still spinning on the same shitty belt-drives I started on 7 years ago. So ultimately, fuck me and the hand I've been dealt.
But do however keep an eye out for me at www.asylumrecordings.com - I'll have downloadable sets and pics of me and my art and what not. It'll be great exposure for me! Which in turn will make my homelife unbearable, i'm sure.
Time for lunch!

Fucking emotional blackmail, typical women.

not all women dude.
i support my b/f 100% on anything he wants to do, even if its expensive (within reason of still being able to pay rent, eat food etc. ) or time consuming.

*wonders how to abduct and kill the boyfriend
*wonders more on how to transform into the appearance of sputnik's boyfriend
*evaluates if sputnik will fall for it

lol. i think his biggest problem is me asking to get under the car w/him every two seconds and doing the work myself. fun stuff.
why would anyone want to be with someone only to stifle of change them? i could never get that.
- nLHb0
me too sputnik, i would never stop my boyfriends dreams, unless of course it was to be with another woman! ;)
- Jnr_Madison0

i need girlfriends like you. all mine suck.

if someone you're dating doesn't support your dreams, they will usually be the ones to kill them. Then what are you left with? Only the things she wants you to be left with. Find a real woman.
- nLHb0
we are the good girls, hard to find, easy to keep!

"i need girlfriends like you. all mine suck."

sucking will do for now.

my GF bought me my decks and mixer. She regrets it now =P
Good score on the Vegas gig. Keep it up. BUT I wouldn't quit your gf simply over her disliking your DJ'ing
I could see D&B being quite annoying when you're just trying to chill out at home.Dreams Schmemes

doood women dig djs. you'll meet someone else. i got over powered by a woman once (she was hot so it was kinda worth it at the time :)
anyway i realized that i spent so much time with her and not anytime doing my own thing that it made me dull. the air was a lot fresher once we split.

tell her to buy her own records
and she can dj too!
i love it when my bf dj's, means i can be stoned and don't have to change the record!
