So I'm trying to create a session variable containing a user's login info. For some reason it works fine in IE on mac and PC, but not on any other browser. Has anyone else run across this issue?

that's interesting, haven't experienced that yet.

yeah, it's driving me nuts cause I can't find any particular reason why it wouldn't work.

Check the security settings of the browser it's not working on.

This may sound out there but a wild guess, is there a javascript interferring?

actually I just figured it out. I was doing a redirect with the header("Location:....") command directly after setting the session variable and I think that was canceling the variable. If I leave out that redirect it works fine. Assume it has something to do with the php rewriting the header information. Thanks for the help!

the redirect really shouldn't matter if u r passing the proper variables.

that's what I thought, but once I took that out it works fine. Odd that it didn't happen in IE.

are you remembering to run session_start() in the receiving page?
if not, session vars set are not much more than instance vars. as for the ie thing, well... we've all seen ie do some pretty fucked up things over the years.
