I sometimes think of what future historians will say of us. A single sentence will suffice for modern man: he fornicated and read the papers."

lol
I dont know. I dont have an attitude. I'm just trying to make sense of this crazy world, and i got no clue. Oh the existential despair!
"Here then is man outside our people, outside our humanity. He is continually starving, nothing belongs to him but the instant, the prolonged instant of torture... He always has only one thing: his suffering, but there is nothing on the entire face of the earth that could serve as a remedy for him, there is no ground on which to plant his two feet, no support for his two hands to grasp, and thus there is so much less for him than there is for the music-hall trapeze artist who is atleast hanging by a thread"

kuz, you should move to the states, that's the current attitude. Men vote with their Rambo sticks and women cover up by not covering anything...
- Kuz0

You force me to have 2 children, i'll have 20, just to piss u off bitches.

freedom and desire. It's what makes me human
- Kuz0
Yes exactly. That is what u do. You reveal the hypocrisy - the corruption. You show people for the sheep they are. And you create opportunities and channels for resistance. That's why i like Moore so much. It's not a question of literal truth - but one simple belief "A better world is possible". My problem is what comes after that realisation.
The American revolution, according to Marxist thinking, was a bourgeouis revolution. A freedom from Imperial tyranny yes - but also a freedom to accumulate wealth, exploit resources, control labour. The true principles of America - free enterprise.
You free urself from one sort of tyranny and corruption - you land into the hands of another. Never ending cycle.

behold my ass:
child bearing restrictions. amen.
massive population growth is generally delt with rather cruelly by nature.
nasty diseases come to decimate a species. natural selection rears its beautifully vicious cock and fucks away the excess.exponential population growth is what we do. "exponential".
where does an exponential series end?bah. whatever. just gimme my one or two kids and back the fuck off.

calm down, calm down.
let's get this thread back on track, and speak about the +/- of this impending film. my bet is that it will greatly impact the US Presidential election.Kerry 1
Bush 0...now watch this drive.

but it doesn't work. as soon as you allow something (ie. child bearing, church going, corporation trusting, war seeking, thinly veiled pseudo-racism, etc...) to be shown in a "different" light than what is dictated by _______ and advertised according to "status quo" the you start to open up minds, change minds, change failing systems, give a sense of pride and a real reason to bring life into this currently static situation we are in. Yes, America itself was a Utopian experiment that quickly became off track, but has the ability, according to it's Founder's principles, to take us into a bright future for us and our potential offspring.
- Kuz0
Yeah, i perfectly agree with that. But we have to step back from setting forth Utopian visions. They have a tendency to become dystopian very quickly. I think im' more comfortable with that - attacking and dismantliing existing nexuses of power, rather than projecting whole new ones.
- loudubs0
i think what you do is decidedly reduce the amount resources being used, less need for car manufacturers to market to couples who may have recently had children, have a void to fill and fill it with an SUV to fill with gas from a socio-economic void in Arab society. We need to switch our energy policy in both the literal sense and the holistic, "spiritual" sense. Most of all, we need to question why we do the things we do as a nation of individuals.....
- Elfangio0
America needs a 3rd party.
-------------------------------
I would say at least. But a couple more would make even more diference.
What kind of democracy is that where you have a "parlament" with two party's that have almost the same policys? Sorry but for me that is just a diferent kind of ditadure...a democratic didature...nevermind" Tjis is just me!
- Kuz0
Why? It's a question of personal freedom. I come from a big family, and i wanna have a big family. It's not gonna solve conflict by controlling birth. I mean to a point i agree with u. To many unwanted kids in this world. But any Utopian idea is bullshit. The nature of human society is conflct. Like all forms. It's a function of power - not just poverty and a lack of resoureces. I mean u get rid of one point of conflict by limiting the number of kids people have - you create other points of conflict.
- loudubs0
and, to me, that's a very socially viable mandate. I personally feel we should stop procreeating all together for a period of 3-5 years.....in addition to the mandate, interviews with soon-to-be-parents, follow-up checks on foster parents........and less restrictions and difficulty for couples who choose to adopt.
- DutchBoy0
i'd vote for it.
2 kids a couple max.
- loudubs0
why?
- Kuz0
yeah i agree with u there. There does need to be a paradigm shift away from the capitalist social engineering. Just the specific issue of telling me how many kids i can have. Like procreating is what i do man!
