the problem is Kobe is a one on one player and not a team player...when they get in a pinch he thinks he needs to do everything himself....plus the pistons are a good team...and Larry Brown is a hell of a coach.

one-on-one players generally don't win championships, look at AI. ;)

yep...that was what I was saying...and it is one of the reasons Kobe is not michael jordan too....michael made everyone around him better and understand their role....Kobe has too much ego...He is a great player but need to do a couple adjustments to him game to set himself apart in other areas besides the stats sheet.

I still cannot believe the Pistons didn't foul them when up by three in Game 2. Didn't matter, the Pistons smelled blood from the get-go and never let go of their grip except for that mental breakdown.

however, the series might have been a lil different if Malone wasn't so banged up, but he's 40, that's the way it goes in the NBA.

The series would've been completely different if Malone's knee wasn't banged up.
Someone upstairs was smiling on Detroit fans when Malone messed his knee up again 7 games before retiring.
Plus, it's not over yet. But it's looking pretty bad.

Still having to keep the faith in the Lakers because I am no fair weather fan, however I know i will get millions of responses saying "Lakers are done". The final buzzer hasn't sounded yet. But as far as malone goes it reminds me when Magic got hurt with hamstring, as well as worthy, the last time the Lakers lost to the Pistons in the Finals.

Last night the Lakers looked like a bunch of spoiled stunned whiney little bitches, bitter because they weren't getting their way and got SCHOOLED!
When Kobe doesn't return next year you better damn point the finger to Shaq, his big jelous EGO is running Kobe out of LA and the Lakers will never be same team without Bryant! What a shame..

Regardless of who wins, I am going to be in limbo until the season starts again in October.
Basball just doesn't tickle me as exciting anymore.
I guess I should get a way from the computer and start playing myself. Shall we start a newstoday basketball team? Who can ball? We can also make our own "And 1" videos with our laptops.....ha
