so, i'm sittin' here at work and i'm on the G4 we have here. i like it so far. we never use it and i am tempted to ask if i can take it home. =]
one question: why can't quicktime play avi files? is there an alternative? trying to watch a video someone brought it, but it doesn't play on here.

I know there is like a plug in or something. I just have never taken the time to find it.

quicktime can play avi's, just that it doesn't have the right codecs.

videolan looks awesome. unfortunately, they have this machine running on OS9.

MPlayer, though it hasn't been updated in a while, is a good way to go if the videolan player can't handle the movie.

It too, unfortunately, is only for OSX.
