Does anyone know where I can find super duper high res photos.
9.5' x 5' @ 100dpi
I've checked all the major stock sites and nothing is large enough.
Any tips appreciated...

you won't find that around the web...that's a serious file size...call places, also you kinda have to pay something for your unique request...
people just don't have 9 foot wide images on their computers...

yes willing to pay of course...and you never know...sites could have ftps set up.
who do you suggest i call?

biggest file you are likely to get from a stock library is around 48mb, and it will be a jpeg.

it doesnt have to be from the web necessarily...as long as its big enough and i can get it quickly

call getty

yeah call the big photo guys, getty, corbis... you know...

it going to depend on which image you choose, different catalogues have different res's.
pick first.

that's not extremely hi-res. is actually quite low. hi-res is at least 300dpi. so divide those dimensions by 3 = small.

a 3 foot wide image @ 300 dpi is pretty big in my book.

You may of thought of it, but you can buy a plugin for PS called Genuine Fractals™ (Lizard tech) you can use to enlarge images. You can't go crazy but 2-300% is not bad, we use it when clients ask the ridiculous.... - "can you put this tiny image full size on a exhibition stand"
Good luck with ya MASSIVE image.
If that fails, commision a photographer ;)

you would be better off shopping local photographers studios, finding a shot you like, pay the dude and drum scan it.

We use GF Print Pro. It's a plugin for photoshop. You can resize 300 dpi stuff up to 2000% percent, and it's not too bad. What kind of application will the pictures have? Outdoors, far away? We used it at work to make a huge banner for a bunch of condos. 18' wide. The pic ended up at 7GB @150 dpi. Took a G5 one whole day to render. Didn't look half bad either.
