You need to check resolution of the plasma monitor that is going to be used but it's a fair bet it'll be specified at 1024 x 1024 or similar.
It will need to be setup to display widescreen ratio 16:9 rather than conventional monitor ratio of 4:3. You can normally flick between the two.
I recently did an animation for an exhibition stand and I used 1024 x 576 which fitted the plasma monitor fullscreen with no distortion and no cropping.

i'm not sure but i would say 853X480, a lot of DVD movies seem to be in this resolution. if you want higher i would go by 16:9 ratio - 1280X720, 1920X1080

I mite be able to give some advice on this as i recently finnished an animation in wide screen format with the intention of playback on TV from the begginning of the small project.
I used the size 515px X 275px in flash. Give'n me 16:9 playback when i viewed it full screen on my TV with the DVD player.
It can be viewed on my site Titled "On the edge"
hope thats of some help ?
