Anyone gonig to the chelsea flower show this year?
- ribit0
well it puts a number to a color? (sure the color on your screen is probably nothing like the Pantone master...)
But all of that is built into Photoshop etc anyway.. so why did they even make that chart?
- JamesEngage0
spose not everyone has photoshop, but then again if you're looking at pantone colours on a computer you probably have photoshop... or are mad
- ribit0
not necessarily... you might just be neding to tell someone "My document references these Pantone numbers...", whether you can see what that really looks like when printed or not...
- carver0
are they websafe then? for 256 monitors?

it's "geoff" not pantone or pantonay. we already have agreed on this one before. who coined "geoff" actually?
- rasko40
yes, it certainly is "Geoff", just like I said.
- JamesEngage0
is gif... pronounced GIF or JIF
(as in Geoff in South Africa)
- rabattski0
aaahaaa it was you!
- rasko40
actually gif is "Gaff", as in cock-a-knee for manor or house, dwelling, abode.
Jpeg is known as "Jiggy"
I therefore conclude that a typical professional designers conversation could easily go something like:
"Tell fucking Man-Ray over there to hurry up with those light paintings would ya, I've gotta get round to a reputable soho 'reprohouse' and get jiggy with Pantonnay before I can get round the old sex change gaff and convert that eye candy ready for a press with Geoff"
