wondering what book people would recommend for learning a bit about the 'correct' use of typography? i'm thinking more in terms of in layouts rather than just books about type faces.

Jan Tschichold's Die Neu Typographie. Some of the ideas are a little old granted, it was written in the late 20's, but some good stuff nonetheless.
