Heya.
I need a small video editing applet.- just to cut/paste extract and export a small amount of frames- for loopings. just for web (*mov) no external video outputs..
any advice?

that's a good software, but too much sand for my truck.. I just need to extract some frames (about 100) from small movies and get them ready for web- probably animated gif's, but I'll do that in flash after extracting the selected frames into a smaller movie.
a small applet (less than 10 megs)

if you can't find anything you like free, there's always Quicktime Pro for less than 30 bones. Get that and bill it to the client.

Windows Movie Maker *cough* - it's lame but may do what you want - comes standard with XP. You can also download the v.2 upgrade free from the MS site. Downside is it only exports as WMV (surprise)
