I was always told at a design firm to never use black. Sort of fucked me up for awhile. The Art Director was saying to always use the darkest of any color, but never black.

Yeah at first thought it may be. But it definately makes you think twice before you go straight for black. Voices in your head help. Without them you would just choose crayon colors.
