It's not complete (missing some links, and obviously there is no content), but what do you guys think?

I think I like where you are going with it. It kind of reminds me of a Target commercial though. I would work a little more on the text you have in the top left corner, it seems like you just kinda threw it up there without much thought. The little scribbled roll overs add some personality, but I think they could be refined a little more. Keep it up!

normally i really don't get into site criticism since it's just a matter of taste and you'll always will piss someone off.
but to be honest i find it a bit too much self wanking (refering to the josh and brandon images). i'm not looking for a design agency with guys who look / act cool, i'm looking for a design agency that makes brilliant stuff. let the work speak for itself not how you look. or if you do choose to use such images at least do something with it. either taking the piss out of yourself or incorporate it in a certain way that is has nothing to do with how you look.
another thing josh looks like he's falling backwards. or he's trying to lean against air. the work banner thing and poster isn't in the right perspective.

i think i would totally do josh. or, brandon. you know... if i were like that. WHICH I'M NOT! jeeze.
- gekkokid0
it aint cutting edge just looks like a poor attempt with flash
- designofminD0
Not sure what the reference to flash is....
As for the perspective on the banner / poster - i knew it was a little off, i fiddled with it, and for whatever reason, i could NOT get it right...i'll work on it some more...
I'm not interested in how we look, but those will be bios for both myself and brandon...perhaps a blog? i don't know, just trying to get the client interested in us...some of our clients prefer one or the other of us, and so clearly there's some sort of a personal connection...
I actually did spend time on the text in the top left, so if it looks off I'd love to hear suggestions on how to make it suck less.
Thanks for all the crit...

well if you're not interested in how you look why is it so visually there? i can understand you want to create a difference between you both but either do it over the top (especially if certain clients prefer one or the other than i would rather do 2 big good looking portraits with big fat type saying josh and brandon and really split the site up in two or where you have to choose one guy right away (which makes you always interested to look at the other guy as well)) or tone it down where content is more important.
look i understand that if you are working on something for a long time you sort of really don't see it anymore. you need to leave it alone for a couple of days before you look at it again. this is the first time i see it and my first impression right away was, gosh they really think they are cool which isn't supposed to be my first impression. it's either that i'm impressed by the look and feel of the site or the work presented. know what i mean?
then again. it all boils down to taste.

WOW....you can trace pictures.........
When the FUCK are people gonna stop using vectors.....!?!?!??!
- designofminD0
well thanks, of course the criticism is the whole reason the thread is here, so i appreciate the feedback. anyone else?
- Soler0
are you guys illustrators?
- Soler0
i only ask cos it doesn't look very "designerly" for example, everyone knows not to use futura in all caps like that. If you don't have a logo, you should. and that is what should be there.

"When the FUCK are people gonna stop using vectors.....!?!?!??! "
sorry save but wtf?
you might as well say, when the fuck are people gonna stop using:
- photoshop
- xpress
- hammers
- 300 dpi
- washing machine
- cmyk
- rgb
- pantone
- markersit's just a tool. it all depends on what you do with it. that's all.
- designofminD0
Soler - it's not Futura :) And 'everyone knows not to' is just silly. No, we're designers. We are not illustrators. We do illustrate on occasion, when we feel like it.
As far as logos go...we've got one. It's not on the site. It might change. Who knows? We just need something up that's better than what was there before (I've had this site since I was way young, and http://www.designofmind.com is what I did back then...it's hideous, and I want to barf when I look at it). We've just started dD back up again, and this time it's my primary job, so...it was time to update the site. More important than deciding on the logo first :)
- Soler0
well, allow me to retort.
In my opinion the logo represents your entire company. it will dictate the look of your website and all other promo materials. so, it IS important. THE most important.
- rabattski0
depends. no logo is a logo as well. it really depends on the company self. and it's def. not the most important. in general if you do proper marketing / communication it doesn't matter what it looks like. nike's swoosh could have been a square for all i care and still wouldn't have made a difference. then again. we're not nike. within design i think your work, style is far more important than the logo you have.
- rabattski0
and as a reminder to everyone. no one here started making kick ass stuff from scratch. look at the very earliest stuff you made. i think you can understand that people have to start somewhere, somehow.
- Soler0
just trying to help :-]
