Hey Jaz, how would you rate vegas dvd authoring compared to dvd studio pro? I've been looking for something that's close to it on PC forever.

in terms of use and simplicity and overall effectiveness I give the entire Sound Forge/Vegas Video pakages 9.5/10. Seriously, so smooth and easy to use. I mean that's what you want ultimately. I have no time for Adobe Premiere even though it's also rock solid.

to be honest, it's more about how you capture your video and sounds than what app you are using in terms of post production. Vegas does mostly whatever you need and more.

plus it's a superb video editing app.
(talking about Vegas Video)

pr2, that's true it really lets you do a lot of things simply. It reminds me of a Mac app but on PC.

yeah man, i switched to Vegas having used Premiere then Avid Xpress DV/Pro. Vegas outruns the competition.

I was more concerned with the menu editing than the video editing. Trying to find something with the options that DVD studio pro has and I'm not having too much luck.

yeah gab Vegas + DVD has just that type of thing. You can do that stuff or even import other objects in I believe.

i've used sonic's DVD Producer a bunch, and it's alright, but i need more control over the menus, buttons, etc...
does vegas offer total control over this stuff?
