what is the best program for OS X 10.3 for extracting mp3's off my iPod to my new computer?
I've tried other programs but they don't organize the songs when i'm browsing them in teh program, and it also just tosses them into a folder without organizing them by artist or album. I tried iPod.iTunes which promised organization like that, but it didn't even work. any suggestions?

PodWorks, best out there, sorry if I repeated

PodWorks is great. it will even organize your music into Artist/Album folders in the destination of your choice, so when you add the tracks to your iTunes Library, they're already in the spot you want them (i.e. download them straight to your iTunes Music Folder)

Why mess about with other apps when you can do it straight inside iTunes?
Here's a great Applescript. And it's FREE!

Look for the entry called 'Import iPod Audio Files v1.3'. Download, then follow the instructions.
No hassles at all. Genius.
