mac and flash. yeah. odd combination. doesn't run good on a G5? pfff.... anyways (if the right click on flash is enabled) you can always choose a lower quality which steps up the performance considerable. and in an odd way it kinda looks cool to.

Flash on my G5 is super fast, seems like it runs the same speed as on a PC

i think this debate has been going on forever but i'm pretty sure it's not a hardware thing necessarily...
i have 10.3.3 flash 7, G4 1.25 flash runs totally smooth

there is no doubt that flash runs slower on macs......just wondering if there is a significant upgrade in performance from the g4 to g5 chip. has anybody run it on both and give feedback? thanks kids.

chibasan,
are you running 10.3?
safari? you're not using IE are you? how fast is your mac?
i really don't think there's a performance difference between what i experience and my PC counterpart.

tile. sorry to be unclear. i'm talking about running the application flash. i'm getting three seconds of swirlly rainbow wheel when i go to put in a simple tween. this is since upgrading to 10.3. any advice? should i flush and reinstall everything? or should i buy a g5? was wondering if anyone had any similar issues.........

try: untilites_disk utility_repair permissions....

try flushing the system caches with onyx. It's a software problem definitely, flash is rather unstable on mac compared to pc.

Flash runs fine on G5s if you're previewing in MX, it's fine as a development platform...the moment it's in a browser it runs at half speed though. It drives me up a wall--
