How do you unlock the proportional crop tool?
It scales the tool proportional, and it's locked.
It has to be something easy...Thanks.

It SOUNDS like a dump question, but it's not (really).
The crop tool is locked into a vertically aligned rectangle, meaning it will not let you crop what you want-no scaling or dragging corners, without changing the entire rectangle.
Any ideas? I know there is a way to cancel it, I've seen it happen before, just can't remember what the solution was. Probably a key combo accidentally changed things.
Oh, there is no 'clear' button on our PCs, and delete does nothing.

what version of PS are you using?
In PS7 for a PC, select the crop tool and the options menu at the top of the screen should have a 'clear' button.
In PS5, uncheck the 'fixed target size' option in the 'crop options' panel.

Possible trouble shoot...
1.See if your shift key is stuck:
2.If (1.) = true()
Throw your keyboard on the ground to unstick the shift key.

It's PS 6, and there was the CLEAR button (sorry, I was looking in the wrong place). You can also right click and select RESET TOOL.
