turn this:
www.tr1design.com/newsToday/sear…...
into something that works like this:
www.tr1design.com/newsToday/menu…...
the key is to keep the width form getting out of control. it is easy in Mozilla, but IE makes drop downs as wide as the widest possible selection.
Thanks,

you need to look into DHTML, if you use dreamweaver its pretty easy, its just a matter of positioning layers in the correct position/z index and then using show/hide behaviours to swap the state.

actually ignore me I misunderstood what you are doing...

well it would work for the appearance but that its possible to pass information as form elements, it would work as a naviogation element to go the DHTML route. if that makes sense.

to clarify:
cant be flash.
i have been trying DHTML ideas.
the problem is getting the selection to appear, and post to a form.
i want it to function like a drop menu, but with a controlled look liek a css/dhtml menu.i have been kicking around the idea of a tree menu, but not sure if that will be good either.
