So you think Pollocks work is content-devoid? I'm not here to defend everything called art, but let me say this, there is a lot to be said for doing something first that's born out of your own mind. To me, that's more than leaving a large aerosol signature.

do you respect evan hecox Mimio? I do. And he used to grafitti I think. And if not, he was down w/ those peeps.
Also, graf is one of the "4 ways to rock", born from hip-hop in the late 80's. You either were and mc, dj, breaker, or graf artist. 4 arts.

I'll compare and contrast for my own sake I guess. I'd rather not for the sake of argument:
Pollock
Daim
If we're looking for content in the blink of an eye, well, you're own mind will decide on that. There is a lot to be said for doing something first and it being born of your own mind. However there's also something to be said for sheer skill and technique.
I don't doubt Pollocks skill, but I will consistently refute the idea that mature artists are found only inside an art gallery.

Seems like it's just design or decoration. Which (to me) there are better examples elsewhere. I'm not really a big fan of hip-hop either, so maybe thats it.

Ah, that's where our division line is. I'm a very picky fan of hip-hop. I prefer lyrics that make no sense and I could give a crap about their 'bling'.
Two minds, two points of view, that's what makes humans so interesting.
Peace mimio!

Yeah, it's all down hill after De La Soul for me.
Peace.
