Anyone knows what could have happened? I formated by HD and reinstalled my WinXP and now i don't have access to the net. The cable is pluged into the LAN connection (built into the motherboard) but i still get nothing. Moreover when i run CMD and typein ipconfig i get all zeros. My brother is connected to the same router and his internet is working all fine (meaning it has something to do with my configuration). I did installed all the drivers and nuthing....

try buying a new computer, ive heard that can help a lot.

you may need to reset/reconfigure your router. also, check your lan settings on your machine.

Make sure you have tcp/ip installed in your LAN properties.
And the lamest post of the day award goes to warheros.

If your ISP provides dynamic IP-addresses, then do a release and renew of your ip-address (cmd > ipconfig /release [enter] ipconfig /renew). Hope that will help.

hah speak&spell...classic.

Yeah i did /release and /renew and nothing. It left the tech puzzled. He started giving me BS that it has something to do with my hardware iven though before i formated it was working all fine.
How do i cofigure my LAN connection?

OK, I got it. When i was installing WinXP i pulled out everything out of PCI slots but forgot about FireWire card... Now when i removed the card everything seems to be working fine.
