how many fonts do u have?

i just looked at my file folder and found over 1100 fonts - certainly thats to many how many do u thing i should keep on my system - as many as possible or a good select few?

Don't know how many fonts I have. But my i got 4.57 GB of fonts on my PowerBook. I think it's about 5.3 GB on the dual machine at work.

i use x1 and it sucks ass...it seems to slow down my computer if i have more than 100 fonts open....any ideas?
