hello. any of you print experts knows if there is some sort of paper where one can print stuff to transfer with, let's suppose, mommy's iron?
Imagine that i want to overprint (serial) an existing book. how can it be done?
- Gorbie0
yeah - there's transfer paper for inkjet printers.
i'm not sure i follow you though.. you would like to print over an existing - bound book?
how many?
- Soler0
probably thos einkjet tshirt transfers would work-- they're meant for cloth but they'd most liely work on paper. i imagine it would eventually fade though

yes. transfer on books. how many? 1 for testing right now :D wonder if one can make a biz out of it ;)

any lonk to tranfer paper retailers?
- winter0
sorry. "lonk" means "link" of course

that's a strange niche your trying to fit in..
screenprinting would work much better for larger runs i would imagine. (i don't know much about that though)

"that's a strange niche your trying to fit in.."
i was about to say that. what are you trying to do?
some strange form of plagiarism?
what's the deal man? sounds shady..

:D niches taste better. gives you added-value ;)
but you're right. i've learned a bit about screenprinting but sounds wicked to me too. and i think it is diff. to aplly on bounded books. stencil would work :DDD yes. another niche :D but it wouldn't be vandalism anymore, hehehe...
thx y.

illustrate over text. overprint. is not plagiarism because i'm not trying to be new. some german painter did it long ago.

Gerhard Richter if not mistaken, Dutchlad.

Dutchdude, what r u smokin' on yer photo?

well, somehow my last post to DutchB has been abridged. it mentioned some coffee shops too. nevermind. no harm intended ;)
i was just trying to escape the truth about a new idea that may change the world :P

now, really... my ideia was just to overprint over 1 of Herman Melville's special ed. books like some marginalia. to see how it goes.

I really think design has to raise its standarts. it's becoming really empty ad brainless and it hurts me much because i like it.
