Hallo,
I'm wanting to write a letter of complaint to Apple (I don't want to use electronic mail/form) but I can't seem to find a postal address anywhere. Does anyone know if there is a postal address for complaints? If so, what is it?

Didn't you even try their website?
- nessdog0
yes i tried the website. but all i could see was a load of babble.
- rasko40
make sure you use joined up handwriting.
- Mimio0
"contact us" is at the bottom of EVERY the page. In fact... it's at the bottom of most websites.

I can't do joined up handwriting, but I'll get my mommy to write it out in pencil first so I can trace over it with a biro and then erase the pencil. thanks. :)

A couple of issues:
I've got something wrong with my powerbook battery, they sent me a new battery but the problem still persists. Also, my screen hingers aren't alligned correctly so my when I close my laptop, the screen doesn't sit flush. They said it'll take about 2 weeks to fix, but I need my laptop for my job so I can't send it be repaired. Apple refuse to send me one to use while mine's being fixed, which I think's unfair since they should've noticed the screen hinge problem and battery problem before they shipped it out to me.

have you tried the local apple store?
dunno if they can help you, tho. never tried it that way.
- nessdog0
Oh yes, good thinking batman. Although last time I went in there for advice they were hopeless. Thanks Dutchy.

yeah they should have opened your box and made sure everything was okay before it got to your door- on airplanes, in trucks, and to your porch.
It sucks it is going to take two weeks but thinking they should send you one in the meantime is asking alot. How do they know that it is even broke- becuase you said it was... that doesn't justify sending out another brnad new machine for you to borrow. And how do they know that YOU are not the one breaking your machine-
You also realize that no one of importance is going to be the one reading your handwrtten letter don't you?
Dude- shit sucks... but just send it back and get it done right.

wow i dont know any electronic/computer company or for that matter just about any product that will let you borrow a replacement while they fix the broken one. my tiBook had the same problem, took 4 days total, including shipping time, to fix. apple has been the best company ive dealt with when it come to repairs, my products have never been there more than 4 days. you really need to come back to earth at some point, cause you are living in fantasy land.
- nessdog0
ok ok. Sorry. Apple care are generally rad.
You're in the US, I'm in the UK. They told me it would take 7-10 WORKING days, which is between 1.5 to 2 weeks without my laptop... and as I said, I HAVE to use my laptop at work (I work freelance for a company, in their office). That's my main problem. I basically wouldn't be able to work for 2 weeks if I sent it in for repair. I'm not going to kick up a massive fuss, I just want it documented. I spent alot of money on it, and it's a pisser that I can't send it in for repair unless I fork out and hire one.

That is terrible ness. I ring apple once and the man on the telephone, he try get into my underwear. Luckily I was wearing nice underwear. Like I said once, you must always wear good underwear. Ignore the idiot who nasty. They do not understand about customer respect! I think some american think different about these things.
