Stupid pencil!

What's wrong with the pencil / brush tool in PS CS?!
Whenever I draw a line fast, it makes dots instead, but if I do it sloooowly, the line appears fine. I can't seem to find where I change those settings - please help!

Isn't it something to do with 'brush spacing' or something? check the options for the pencil tool and see it there is an option to reduce the % spacing or something similar, if so, reduce it to 0... maybe.

just had a look in PS, no options in there, maybe something to do with the mouse speed setting of your computer?

yeah I've been looking for that Ohood, but I can't find any settings except opacity and flow!
I dont' think it's got to do with the mouse speed, because this just occur when I use "simple" brushes, or when I'm drawing a simple line. When I use brushes I've downloaded it works fine. Hmm

Ah, there we go! It works now that I clicked "reset all tools"! I have no idea what caused it in the first place though, but apparently I must've been fiddling with something I wasn't supposed to touch.
