Dear beloved NT Family,
I saw a movie entitled "Baraka" last night at my sisters house. Amazing imagery, amazing sound and a message you won't soon forget. This kind of thing is my cup o' tea. It's amazing what a picture and music can tell you. I highly recommend this. I realize it a little old, but if you haven't seen it, go find it!

I liked the comparison they made between the chicken farm and Japanese subway. Amazing film.

The chicken farm scared me. All I could think was "i REALLY don't need eggs THAT bad"...
The balinese monkey chanting was awesome, I sat there with my mouthing hanging open!

Baraka was a direct rip off of Koyaanisqatsi..
go check out Koyaanisqatsi if you liked Baraka.
Philip Glass is a musical god.

I just bought all three quatsi films for $47.
They have Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi in a double pack for $23 and you can pick up Naqoyqatsi for $24.
Awesome films.

actually you'r wrong!
Robert Fricke the director of Baraka, was the DP of Koyannisqatsi.... so he is the one who deserves the credit for those wonderful pictures in Koyan.
I read somewhere that he is actually going to be the DP of Metropolis. Francis Ford Coppolas super secret project about a cityplaner or something like that
- Mimio0
Ron Fricke is doing Megalopolis is it ever get's off the ground.
A DP obviously doesn't make the movie either.
- r_gaberz0
your'r right it's megalopolis not Metropolis *lol*
I still hate it when people call Baraka "justa a Koy. rip off".....
