seriously...how do you guys keep your keyboard and mouse clean?
i don't eat at my box, wash my hands religiously, and the sh*t still gets jammy...

i find wetnaps make the problem worse...

what you mean the top of the mouse or the rollerball inside?

optical mice - my mousepad dusts off easily, mouse gives me no fuss.
keyboard - haven't had any problem except loose hairs fallin' in. occassional grime.... monitor/electronic wipes seem to work fine for that for me.

oh and my mac optical at work gets dirt in the textured grate on the bottom of it... which pisses me off sometimes, but alcohol and a cloth seems to work

nah...it's like someone sat down at my box after they ate fries and gravy and a taco, and my shit's all greasy, and it's driving me nuts.

This sounds crazy i know but...
You can put your keyboard in the dishwasher. (not wireless ones with bateries) Someone told me about it and i laughed but i tried it and it is good as new - just allow ample drying time. Really. I shit you not.

you might be right, the things are all nearly plastik
- tny0
i believe it... yeah, as long it dries out completely.
might be nice to have a backup keybd just in case..

I just buy a new 10 dollar black keyboard. What exactly is the point of having a wireless keyboard? Are you across the room from it, run around a lot while typing?
- atomica0
dob i use my wireless from all over my home office. to control volume, skips songs, control movies, etc. Although I have a remote control for my HTPC in the family room which is slightly more convenient for out there.

my co-worker, she eats at her desk everyday. I had to use her computer one day, seriously it was so greassy, all kidding aside I couldn't get a grip on the mouse. I was so disgusted. I had to actually bring it to the bathroom and wash it with under the sink, with soap.
