don't have much experience printing type patterns that are on curved paths.......i understand clearly how to create text on paths, but the soft proof appearance shows weird baseline shift / uneven horizontal alignment of the letters ... is this just how is previews, but it will print more aligned ... is there a way to use baseline shift to insure a clean horizontal line to the letters when they are on a curved path
thanks!

you could just outline the letters...save yourself some grief.

Greedo - thx... even outline approach seems to leave this strange baseline shift look to the letters...do you think that is just in preview, and will be straighter in print ?

have you printed just a regular paper proof? the screen sometimes does wiggy things...
if you outline the letters, there should definitely not be any kind of shift going on.
