Quoting for Photography

We're in the process of incorporating photography into our services. We have a photographer who is a fairly new graduate that we are going to be working with. My question is, how do you charge and quote for photography? Do you quote an hourly rate or a set quote for each job? Second, do you tell them how many photos they can expect int he end? For example, if he is going to shoot a hotel (outside, reception, different rooms, conference, pool etc...) Would you outline what will be shot and how many of each?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Always get as much info about the shoot upfront as possible - how many shots they are going to want etc...also discuss copyright and repro issues. I know several photogs who charge a set and hourly fee...see what works best for you given the job circumstances....
