did you see that list of companies they're going after?
thats sort of like walking into a mafia bar and saying they should all cough up a thousand a piece for protection...
after laughing at what a funny guy you are, they'd be lining up to shoot you.i suppose it's possible they could win..
but theoretically, HP, XEROX and Apple could tie them up in court for so long, it wouldn't matter anymore...i guess we'll see how it all falls out...
should be interesting tho...

well, if it does tie up the companies long enough, they'll just give in and buy licenses. compared to the mafia, these guys have weak knees.
but anything to get jpeg 2000 more acceptable is a good thing.

Exactly my thought! Why even need JPEG when we all can go PNG or kick JPEG2000 into our browsers!
