Forgive me if there is a simple answer to this, but...
How does one go about getting a supplier for one's online (or even a physical store) business? In this case, funky hosiery.

bumping this again. forgive me for my cluelessness. (thanx to jox and jgjh for their initial suggestions)
I want to open an online store that sells funky stockings/hosiery. (if this is successful, then maybe an actual physical store in my town)
how do I actually buy my supplies from a manufacturer? is it as simple as calling them up and saying, 'hey send me your catalogue'?
any advice would rock :)

Well, most medium and large manufacturers already have a partner program. Yeah, pretty much like "hey send me your catalogue", only they usually run some sort of check on your business first.
Normally you just request the supplies from them and send you an invoice. It's pretty much like buying anything, actually.

your question is very vague man, to be honest. what are you looking for exactly. You have a lot of options.

You could try and find someone in the hosiery business. Someone that deals directly with the bigboys of importing good stuff from Egypt, Pakistan or China. What your looking for is a manufacturer contact. There are plenty of people that will design exactly what you need and ship it from China.

JazX, sorry for the vagueness. All I want is to find out how to buy stockings from a hosiery manufacturer. That is, how do I get my spare bedroom full of stock to sell online. My question is do I just call them up and say, "hey this is what I want, what can you do for me... etc."
