45degree text tile background

any experts in making tile backgrounds?
i'm having a really hard time here trying to slice a tile.
some help/advice as to how to work this out would be greatly appreciated.

do it in freehand or illustrator on a page of the size you want your final slice to be(lets say 100x100_, then position a word on the vert axis hanging off the bottom edge, clone and then move up 100, ten do the same on the horizontal.
and thats that, mix to taste.

any way to do it in ps? im not very good at illustrator. :/

err well you could do it using the same method, by using transform and working out your x and y axis, the may be another way I guess.
You dont need to be good at Illy, you just need to be able to use the move/transform tool (I'm a freehand man myself but it would be something similar).
