Any suggestion on bookstores in Amsterdam or Paris ?

i only rememeber one on kerkstraat (take the tram from the train station , it's about 5/10 mins.. or u can walk there
it's blow street level with lots of comics and old collectibles.. figurines etc.. very nice

If you want design books Colette (Paris) is good... http://www.colette.fr/ ...lots of nice designy gadgets, toys and clothes too.

barghhh sorry i have to disagree
colette is the supa hype place with all the thing u find online 200 % more expensive..
all the toys and gadgets are available on the web and they are over over priced.
the crowd there is so fucking pretentious it makes u want to puke on the floorthat's really good for japanese tourists (no offense)
i was selling tee shirts there.. at 75 euros...
that place really does stink..
